Kelly cutrone who is she
One of our most-favorite fashion reality television personalities of all time, the amazing Kelly Cutrone. If Kelly's star turns on The City and Kell on Earth are anything to go by, we can look forward to a lot of smackdowns and brutal-honest-truth-telling on ANTM over the next few weeks. Yesterday, I sat down with Kelly to get the scoop—check out our conversation after the jump! When does it all kick off?
Kely: It was so easy for me! I was really happy to finally get paid to be judging somebody or something I'll go and try to reorganize Home Depot, I try to tell a model how to be better, or tell a fashion designer what they should put in their collection—for free!
I mean I get paid every day to kind of judge stuff and create stuff but it was fun to get to do that on the show. It was good. Also, I got to wear rollers, which I thought was really funny. Kelly: I require very little hair and makeup as we all know—and we started calling my hair the most expensive messy hair in the world because my hairstylist would put these big, like, Guess rollers in—I looked like I was in a Guess photoshoot.
Nigel Barker and I would basically pee our pants laughing because we were, like, Oh my god, what is this! And I would stand out in the parking lot talking to Nigel, who became my James Bond husband on the shoot, and we would laugh.
Even Tyra would be like, "Girl, you got those rollers! Glamour: When you were on The City, you didn't do hair and makeup at all—what changed? Kelly: I never did hair and makeup on The City. First of all, the change was, is those lights [at ANTM] are really, really bright.
I mean, Top Model is a little bit of a different gig because there are like, I don't know, 14 cameras and really big lights. It's a TV set. Even Al Roker wears makeup. I mean, I'm not wearing makeup-makeup. I'm not coming out with, you know, a new look. I was just trying to make up to deal with the lights.
I haven't seen it, but TV never makes you look like yourself. Cause it always makes you look fatter and older. Especially HD—it's just so mean. That's why I think so many people get plastic surgery, because once you see yourself, you're like oh my god. Everybody has their teeth capped. Kelly: I want veneers, too. Kelly Cutrone. The basics.
